Editorial Guidelines
At GetASearch, editorial integrity is the foundation of everything we publish. These guidelines govern how we research, test, write, and update our software reviews and comparisons.
Editorial Independence
Our reviews are never influenced by advertising relationships, affiliate commissions, or business partnerships. The editorial team operates independently from the business team. A product's affiliate commission rate has zero impact on its review score. We have turned down lucrative partnerships with products that didn't meet our quality standards.
Hands-On Testing
Every product we review is tested firsthand by our editorial team. For financial platforms, this means creating real accounts, depositing funds, executing trades, and testing withdrawals. For software tools, we complete real projects and workflows. We don't rely solely on marketing materials, press releases, or third-party data.
Scoring Methodology
Products are scored on a 1–10 scale across six dimensions: Value for Money (20%), Ease of Use (15%), Features (25%), Performance (20%), Customer Support (10%), and Integrations (10%). Each dimension is evaluated independently, and the overall score is a weighted average. Scores are re-evaluated quarterly or when significant product changes occur.
Content Updates
We re-test and update reviews at least quarterly. When platforms make significant changes — new pricing, features, or policy updates — we update the relevant reviews within 2 weeks. All reviews display a "Last Updated" date so readers know how current the information is.
Affiliate Disclosure
